Instructor / Designer Collaboration Framework

Proposed Framework for Supporting Business School Faculty in Designing Technology Mediated Learning Experiences

How can we support HIGHER EDUCATION FACULTY and INSTRUCTIONAL DESIGNERS in working together to build better learning experiences?

Hello! I am Eugenia and I work as an instructional designer and program manager at the Moscow School of Management SKOLKOVO (Russia).

Like many educational institutions, due to the 2020-2021 Pandemic the School had to move most of its classes online and find new ways to provide the same quality of learning experiences to its students, mostly established entrepreneurs, managers and executives.

I went out to explore what it meant for faculty and instructors, and it found that one of the main issues they were frustrated about was the new set up for their work: instructors were not solely responsible for the courses they run, as they did before, but became extremely dependent on the decisions made by the administrative staff, designers, and tech production teams. and "How can we support their learning from one another?"

To answer the first question, and based on the literature, I am suggesting in the Learning Experience Design Framework:

To answer the second question I am working on the design project to be piloted in the Fall:
